Boyce Dwayne “Wayne” Hylton

Boyce Dwayne “Wayne” Hylton Of Bigfork, Montana passed away on April 1, 2024, at age 81. Mourning his loss are his wife Susan, daughter Christy and son-in-law Evan White, son Travis and daughter-in-law Ariel Hylton, granddaughters Ayla Hylton and Perrin Hylton, and niece Heather Banaszek. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Roye, and his brother Rodney. Wayne was born on October 27, 1942 in Sturkey, Arkansas. He graduated high school in 1960 in Lemoore, California and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as an engineman aboard the submarine USS Charr. After service, he went to work with National Cash Register (NCR) as an engineer where he made his career of over 30 years servicing evolving technologies from cash registers to large banking and retail computer systems. He met the love of his life Susan “Sue” Mann of South San Francisco, California and they married on April 10, 1965. Their homes in Tulare, California and Bigfork, Montana allowed them to live as seasonal “snowbirds.” They enjoyed hobbies like photography, bowling, and pocket watch trading together. He was also an avid gunsmith and enjoyed hunting and marksmanship activities, particularly trap and skeet shooting. In recent years, he took great pride in coaching the Bigfork Competitors Scholastic Sporting Clays Club.
